Festival in Gala!

The first eco-ethnographic festival was held in Gala under the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in partnership with the «EkoSfera» Social-Ecology Center.
The guests who visit the ancient Gala today will have the enthralling day. Together we'll travel to the past of this unique ancient settlement.
During the festival, we invite everyone to become artisans of Gala for one day. In the potter studio you can make the animal figurines and ceramic ware on the potter's wheel, in the workshops of the carpet-weavers - learn to make decorations from wool yarn and felt for camels and horses, in a blacksmith's shop - to take part in the competition for the male part of the guests - "Good Luck Horseshoe". The braid - the maiden pride - will be evaluated during the competition for the girls. The younger participants will be asked to name the camel babies during the "We name the camel babies" ceremony.
At the theatrical performance you can meet with the ancient rite of the farmers. At the market and in the tasting tea patio we suggest you try the national sweets, try honey from different parts of our country and drink tea from herbs. And on special sites you will appreciate the beauty of horses and sheep of Gala breed.
